This qualification is primarily aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals

Course description

At the end of the course participants should be able to:-

  • Understand the key areas of the 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations and relevant supporting documentation and amendments
  • Understand the responsibilities placed on electrical staff by the IEE Wiring Regulations

Successful completion will result in the Level 3 Award Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th edition regulations)

  • Isolation and switching
  • Selection and sizing of cables
  • Special locations
  • Sizing of protective conductors
  • Inspection and testing
  • Bonding and earthing
  • Electricity at Work Regulations 1989

What you will need

Candidates must complete a two hour multiple choice, online, open book exam.
