This qualification is primarily aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals
Course description
At the end of the course participants should be able to:-
- Understand the key areas of the 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations and relevant supporting documentation and amendments
- Understand the responsibilities placed on electrical staff by the IEE Wiring Regulations
Successful completion will result in the Level 3 Award Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th edition regulations)
What you will experience
The course will cover:
- Selection of protective devices
- Isolation and switching
- Selection and sizing of cables
- Special locations
- Sizing of protective conductors
- Inspection and testing
- Bonding and earthing
- Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
What you will need
Candidates must complete a two hour multiple choice, online, open book exam.
