Course description

This ESOL Gateway to Educational Support Assistance covers:

  • Skills for Work: Education Support Assistance national 4 Units (SCQF level 4) 
  • Employability units (SCQF level 5) 
  • Personal development units (SCQF level 5) 
  • Industry recognised qualifications 
  • ESOL for everyday life National 5 
  • Digital Skills 

Entry requirements

  • ESOL Intermediate 1 / ESOL National 4 (minimum of 2 units achieved), or equivalent, OR IELTS 4.5 
  • You will have an interest in working in education 
  • You will be required to provide evidence of your current English level and you may be required to do an assessment to ensure you are offered a class at the correct level
  • Attendance at an information session 
  • Successful completion of an entry level check
